Finding The Perfect Fit
Jewellery is personal. It's an intimate purchase, whether it's for you or for a gift. At CarterGore, we've worked tirelessly (and pedantically) to make sure that you're able to customise your piece in as many ways as possible, to make your CarterGore exactly what you wanted.
With that, though, comes a bunch of choices. And it can all get pretty technical. 18 inches this, ball chain that. If you're not quite sure where to start, or you're almost there but need to be sure ... you've come to the right place. From pendant size to bangle width - this is our all encompassing size guide.
Give 'em an inch ...
Life fact: figuring out inches is never what it seems. When it comes to chain length, every one is different. Everyone has their own vibe. Over many moons of selling jewellery, though, we've worked out what size pendant sits best on what length, which is what we've made available to your through our store.

Ball or Curb
By now you've heard us banging on about Ball and Curb an awful lot (pictured left and right respectively). So now that you've got to grips with the chain lengths, let us tell you about our chain types. We've got two, you see, most of which are available in all lengths. And whereas we recommend certain lengths of chain for certain sized pendants - the chain type is really down to you and your style. Click below to learn more.
Little or Large
Our pendants come in three sizes for necklaces - Small, Medium and Large. The width of the pendants will vary by design (the longhorn reaches wide with those horns, for example) but our pendants are standardised by their height and thickness.
Gauge Your Size
Bangle & Bracelet Sizes
So our bangles and bracelets come in three standard sizes - Small, Medium & Large. That's easy enough to understand, right? If not, whip out your measuring tape and measure your wrist. This should give you a good idea:
SMALL – fits wrists 150-160mm
MEDIUM – fits wrists 160-170mm
LARGE – fits wrists 170-180mm
Once you know your size, for our bangles, you then need to work out what kind of thickness you want. We call it 'gauge' in the business, but it doesn't sound super sexy, so we've made it THIN, MEDIUM and THICK. This is basically the width of your bangle when you're looking down at it on your wrist. And they measure like this:
|6.5mm wide||7.5mm wide||8.5mm wide|
